Inkan Shamanic Healing

The Inka of ancient Peru were master healers of the luminous body, which surrounds and penetrates the physical body. They believed that disease began as dense energy in the luminous body before manifesting in the physical body. The Inka developed techniques to release these dense energies from the light body before they could manifest as illness the in physical body.

When the Spanish arrived in Peru, about 500 years ago, the Inkan shamans knew that difficult times were coming. A large contingent of shamans fled to the high Andes to live in remote villages and preserve their healing traditions. They have survived to this day and are now known at the Q'ero. In recent decades they have been guided to come out of seclusion and share their wisdom with the world at large.

Alberto Villoldo is a medical anthropologist who happened to be in Peru in the 1970s when the Q'ero began sharing their wisdom. The Q'ero chose Alberto to help them spread their shamanic knowledge to the modern world, and he spent 25 years as an apprentice with them.

Michael has been studying under the direction of Alberto Villoldo since early 2005 in the US and Peru. After two years of study and practice, Michael is fully certified by Alberto's Healing the Light Body School and has been treating people since March of 2005.

The main therapies offered in Inkan shamanic healing:

The illumination process - In this process Michael works with the client to identify an emotional issue that the client would like to release or resolve. Through breathing and energetic work within sacred space, he helps the client release the dense energies associated with the issue from the light body.

The extraction process - Through energetic manipulation Michael can remove even denser energies that have become lodged in the light body. Crystalized and fluid extractions generally remove energies that have been taken into the light body from the surrounding environment rather than energies that have been generated by the client's own experience.

Soul retrieval - Portions of the soul can become split off as a result of traumatic experience. These soul parts are no longer accessible to the client, and there is usually a vague sense that something is missing. Through the process of soul retrieval, Michael can assist the client in restoring these energetic components of the soul and reintegrating them as functioning parts of the personality.

Shamanic healing works on the energetic level rather than on the physical level, but physical benefits are often experienced as a result of the energetic shift.

Michael is currently accepting new clients. The fee for his shamanic healing sessions is $50 per hour. Sliding scale rates are available for those with low income.
